Welcome to another WIP IT UP WEDNESDAY kindly hosted by Melody Parks
Guess what - I'm not working on anything at the moment! I am taking a couple of weeks away from writing to catch up on the things I have been neglecting, like housework and paperwork etc. So I am going to have to share a little of something published.
This is a snippet from His Forever Summer.
Carla, for so long the resident Corbin's Bend bitch has been tamed. But every now and then, she can't help her bitchiness sneaking back out again. This scene comes after a little public cat-fighting with Cadence:
“Good morning,” Carla said, tentatively
kissing his cheek.
“Not for long, sweetheart. You can go
straight back to your bedroom, remove that robe and anything else you happen to
be wearing, and kneel at the wall. I will deal with you when I finish cleaning
your mess. Oh, place your paddle on the bed. No, better yet, place your hands
above your head, and hold the paddle up. It will concentrate the mind on what’s
coming.” He left her waiting like that for twenty agonizing minutes. Her arms
were exhausted and her knees were aching. She had plenty of time to regret her
actions. Dammit, this definitely was not the type of spanking she craved. When
she craved punishment, her mind played tricks on her. Fooled her into thinking
she would have an intimate over the knee, easy warm up gradually increasing
until that delicious heat filled her bottom. An erotic affair. But the reality
was punishment spankings were crap. Guilt overrode anticipation, and that nice,
loving warm up phase just didn’t happen. But yet, her body refused to listen to
rational thinking and she was fighting her arousal lest Kieran notice it.
“Come here,” he demanded. He settled
himself at the foot of the bed. Carla stood and reluctantly shuffled over to
him and waited at his feet, looking down. Even though she was towering over him
as he sat, he still managed to make her feel only about three feet tall.
“Look at me, Carla,” Kieran said
firmly. She found it hard to look him in the eye: she knew what she would see
there. Disappointment.
“Why, Carla? Especially
so soon after you were punished severely for the very same thing. And punished
because you felt so bad about it. Yet you repeat it. Sorry means that you will
work on something, not just wipe the slate clean so you are free to do it
again.”
His Forever Summer
Carla Methon has tread on a lot of toes, men’s and women’s alike. But no one could be more dissatisfied with Carla than the lady herself. With a compunction to throw herself at every man within a three mile radius and a serious case of foot in mouth disease, Carla knows she is in desperate need of being taken in hand before she does any more damage to her reputation. Kieran O’Brien needs to escape a broken relationship and he invites himself to spend a summer with his brother in Corbin’s Bend. But Kieran is a totally unsuspecting vanilla with no idea of the ethos of the community he is about to enter.
The pair strike up an unlikely friendship of vanilla and spice, with one stipulation – it is only a summer fling. By the time Kieran boards his flight to return to Ireland he wishes his summer could last forever. Can he find the courage, not only to admit the extent of his feelings, but to take on the role Carla so desperately needs him to be?

I'm starting to think Carla is a magnet for trouble, or she just likes Kieran's hands on her sexy bottom. I really like how firm he is with her. Carla needs a strong Dom.
ReplyDeleteYou're right on the magnet for trouble - some people just can't help themselves :D
DeleteMissed you this week, Melody.
ooh going straight for the guilt. Kieran might not have thought he was dom material, but that right there? I swear it's part of their genetic makeup :)
ReplyDeleteLOL, some do just seem to exude it don't they!
DeleteThanks Thianna
Naked, kneeling and awaiting a spanking with a paddle on the bed... oh boy, now that's what I call anticipation. Roll on next week. I wanna see that paddling. MmmHmm. Lovely.
