#SatSpanks #Corbinsbend Exile to Unity Homesick and having doubts

Saturday Spankings

It seems that moving from Ireland to Corbin's Bend wasn't the magic fix that Ange had hoped it would be. Somehow or other, their demons managed to slip into the suitcases when they were packing, and out they popped, ready for action in Colorado. Here's a snippet showing the tension between the couple. Jim is hours later than expected, and he hasn't contacted Ange to tell her he was delayed. What she doesn't know is that he has spent the last hour or so in a police station, giving a witness statement and that he's on a short fuse...

Adding fuel to the fire, when he arrived home, he was met by a stony faced Ange.
“Where the hell were you? I was worried sick. Why didn’t you bring the phone?” she snapped, as he came through the door.
“Ange! Don’t start. I’ve just spent the last couple of hours in the police station. I’m in no mood for your griping now. Right this minute, all I want to do is pack up and go home, with or without you.”

Ouch - that's gotta hurt.

This is the Saturday Spankings Bloghop. Thanks for calling. I love to hear from you, so please say hi before you call to the wonderful links below.

    1. Lol, Constance I could tell you why he was at the police station, but then you wouldn't be curious to find out :D
Thank you. I am so looking forward to your release.

  2. Oh wow, there's so much tension between this couple (I'm part way through the book) that even when things are going well, all I can think is you guys have to talk already!!

    1. I know, they really do need to talk! But talking is in itself a skill that has to be learned. I wonder how many good relationships flounder for want of the ability to communicate properly? The lucky ones learn before it's too late.

  4. Yes, changing the scenery doesn't change the issues/problems. :)

  5. Great snippet. Corbin's Bend is the place to be, even though transitions can be hard on everyone.

    1. Transition is hard on everyone, and Ange had lost her job and they moved country - both high up there in the stress scales. Thanks Leigh. Hopefully they will find Corbin's Bend is the place to be!
